Your A Star - Happy Birthday

Here is a card that I drafted for my nephew. He is 7! This stamp wasn't purchased through Stampin Up, I got it from Hobby Lobby. Had fun with punches and old IN-COLORS. Thanks for looking, it has been a while since I have posted. Plan to have a bunch now.

Stamp A Stack - August 09

Here are a few cards that I had put together for my sister's Stamp-A-Stack that was in August. I had a total of 5 cards and they made 12 all together. I had 13 people at this party, which was an awesome turnout!!! I also had a few side orders for people that couldn't make it but still wanted the cards. I was able to use some of my old material from 2009 Sale-a-bration, so it kept my costs down. I had people there that had never stamped before to alot of in between and a couple that stamp alot. Everyone worked together and it was an great night.

I am sure this was my first of many to come Stamp-A-Stacks. I have already had requests to do another one. The sun is finally shining here in MN. It has been raining for so long, I think I forgot what it looked like anymore. Happy stamping everyone.

Thank You

I had seen this before somewhere on SCS and wanted to do it for the ladies that just walked the past weekend for the Breast Cancer Awareness 60 mile walk. I thought that these would be cute for them to send out "Thank Yous" to their big supporters. Way to Go Giant TA TA Walkers. For this card I used, Pretty in Pink 4x4, So Saffron & Whisper White CS. Retired Tea Party DSP. I used my word window and scallop punch and one brad to make the bra. VERY CUTE!! Wording was stamped in Pixie Pink. Thanks for looking! Lynn

Hi everyone!! Wow it has been a while. I promise to get better at this. I am excited about the new catalog and colors that are comin out July 1st. But first a card from the past and old colors. I love the last colors as well. Here is a card a cased, I know I seen this somewhere & didn't write down the name, I just added a different saying. I used the Baja Breeze, Choc Chip and DSP Textured paper. I used the SAB stamp set and used the versa mark & embossed it in white. I used the 5 petal flower punch and dimensionals to add them to the card. Other punches used is Oval Scallop Punch, Large & small Ovals. I put Choc Chip ribbon around the top and added my verse with dimensionals as well. I think this will brighten anyone's day when they receive it. Thanks for looking and have a wonderful day!

Ok, I am getting together with a couple of girls this weekend to make some graduation cards. I thought I would get a head start with some fun different ideas. Where I am from, our school colors are Blue/Gold & my sisters town is red/black. So I came up with these two slider Graduation cards. You are able to attach the money and it comes sliding out with the card. Oops I just noticed that I have my "congratulations" tucked in on my photo. I used Pacific Point and Apricot Appeal & also Real Red and Basic Black. I picked up the diploma stamp from Hobby Lobby. Thanks for looking, if you want the dimensions just give me a shout. Have a wonderful day. Lynn

Happy Birthday

Here was one of my swaps at Minneapolis Regional back in April. I used the Upsy Daisy Stamp Sent that I absolutely love. One of my favorite Stamp Sets. I used, Baja Breeze, Choc Chip and Whisper White. I used some ribbon that I got from Hobby Lobby, w/Choc chip and baja breeze (close to looking like baja breeze). I stamped the flowers w/stamp-ma-jig in Baja Breeze then I added choc chip just on tips and restamped again over the same image of Baja Breeze. I think the color came out kinda neat. Thanks for looking and have a super weekend. Lynn :)

Choo, Choo Happy Birthday

Having fun with the new Occassions mini catalog. Having mostly boy's and a younger boy (4), this card will come in handy at alot of future birthday parties. Someday I will have to post the cards that my 4 year old creates with me. Most of the time, when I stamp he stamps too. Colors used were Real Red, Pacific Point, Basic Black & Whisper White. Thanks for stopping by. Lynn

Great Friend

Here is a card that we did at our last club. We used the stamp set "Great Friend" I really like this stamp set. I used Textured paper DSP Sweet Slumber Specialty, along with sahara sand, baja breeze, very vanilla. You have to use the stamp-a-ma-jig on here which is always fun. Puts your stamp exactly where you want it, it is a must have for a stamper. I cut out the butterfly and attached a dimensional behind it to make it pop. Also added SAB so saffron ribbon and a button I found out of my Mom's old button collection. The 2nd one here, I actually used the DSP Parsian Breeze, kraft, choc chip and whisper white. I found the ribbon at Hobby Lobby. I love the way it goes with the choc chip and the baja breeze. slipped a latte button on the corner. I got this idea out of the SU website. The girls were impressed and thought there would not be giving this card away to just anyone, it was going to be to someone special. Remember you can always duplicate....and send out tons. Well, I am off to bed, I have classes to take over the next three day and stamping will be the last thing on my mind, because there is a test at the end. Gotta pay attention. Hope this post finds you well & happy. Love to all, Lynn.

Card Box

Here is a card box that I did at my last club party. I used Gray 12x12 textured paper, along with the DSP Walk in the Park from the Occasions Mini catalog. I found this box somewhere on the web and will post in here once I can figure out how to add it. Real simple and easy. Used velcro to fasten the lid from flapping open. Added a flower from the Pretties Bulk Buy from SU, we added a little classic Kiwi Kiss to the flower to add some color with a sponge dauber, and finished it with a Jumbo Brad. This can be given for any occasion. Along with each box we made 6 cards each. Using the DSP Walk in the Park and used the multi sides to arange different looks and colors. We attached to Basic Gray on White CS. The girls had fun this this one, had a bit of a challenge, but they showed me they are all very creative women. Thanks so much for a great year, it has truely been alot of fun. Love ya all, Lynn.

Gone Fishin

Next, I was looking for some stamps to add to my guy pleasing selection & to complete some cards that people have pre-ordered me to do. I found these fishing stamps at Hobby Lobby on my most recent trip. I stamped the images in Close to Cocoa, using choc chip, very vanilla & DSP textured To the Nines. I then punched a couple of holes connecting the linen thread from the hook to the fish. I completed the card with the Happy Birthday on the inside. We fish alot, well my DH does mostly, but we all like to do it and a good family sport to do together. My manly card is complete. Thanks for stopping by, Lynn

Golfer

Ok, it has been an extremely long time since my last post. Life has gotten way to busy. My boy's have started baseball, so that will be in full swing until mid July. Love watching baseball on a nice warm summer day. Here I used the stamp set "And Many Mower" from the occasions mini catalog April 1 - July 30,2009. The paper I used was Always Artichoke, Close to Cocoa, Baja Breeze, Whisper white, DSP Parisian Breeze & DSP Hostess 6x6 kraft. Used the markers and masking technique for the golfer guy and used two bigger brads that I found at JoAnne Fabrics. Great card for that avid golfer in your life. Thanks for looking

Swaps

Here are some swaps that I have completed for upcoming Minneapolis Regionals for Stampin Up. This is my first time going to regionals and am very excited. Nervous, not knowing what to expect. I am not worried. What can be better than a Covention center full of people that love to do what I love. Can't wait to get inspired. So glad they are so close this year. I will update my blog with all the cool stuff I see. I can't wait. I got a new camera and I can't wait to take nice pictures for once.

Cheap Talk

Here was a fun card to make. I love this set as well. Cheap Talk!! I used Baja Breeze as my base, then used Ruby Red, Whisper White & Sweet Slumber Specialty DSP Textured CS. I layered that on the card. I then took two smaller pieces of Baja Breeze and Ruby Red and put brads through them and attached that to the card. I used dimensionals to pop out the bird/branch/saying. So simple. Have a great day.

Branch Out

Hello everyone!! Boy it has been a long time since my last post. I got this new set and absolutely love it. Branch Out. Here I used Mellow Moss, Rose Red, Choc Chip & Very Vanilla CS and stamped the saying Hello There. It seems like these are my first cards to go. Someone just wanting to say Hi. Very Simple. I used the Jumbo Grommet that are in the Occassions Mini Catalog. Hope you like it. Have a great day! Lynn

Crimped Envelope Card

Here is a little different card that I found on SCS. It is so easy to prepare. I started with a standard envelope, sealed it and cut it off 1 1/4 at the top. Then I decorated the envelope with the colors I wanted. Then you put through your crimper, only the big portion of the envelope. After that is done, you add your embelishments. The supplies used for this was my scallop circle, small & medium punches. RHR classis ink, RHR CS & Kiwi Kiss CS. Along with a couple of buttons. I cut the scallop to resemble a flower. I used Dreams Du Jour stamp set and finished with adding a strip of RHR Taffeta Ribbon. I then took the same colors and sponged the inside card & Stamped the inside. Very simple, quick and easy to do. Check out SCS for the tutorial. Sorry, I need a new camera, mine is blurry!! Everyone, have a great day and thanks for stopping by to visit.

Scallop Envelope Purse

Here is a project that I just did at my last Club. I used the Big Shot and the Scallop Envelope die. I used the Delicate Dots DSP. I cut out two envelopes out with the Big Shot. I cut out a matching piece of CS, 1 x 11 and another 3/4 x 11 of matching DSP. You have to cut the bottom pieces of the envelope's down to 1" just like the strip you cut, I used that as a guide. I assembled the purse from one side to the other with sticky strip tape to make sure it will not pull apart, the bottom being my last to adhere. I used Mini Glue Dots to keep the flaps from coming up or being loose. Then I used the Scallop Circle along with other circle punches and added one of my Mom's "old" buttons as a finishing touch. I also added a little thank you card and nuggets to make it more sweet. I seen this on LW's blog...thank you!

Hi there, it has been a while since I posted something. I am not sure what I am busier with, my full-time job, my family, Stampin Up or my passion of Volleyball. I am moving to the next level, officiating Collegiate Ball....I can't wait. Anyway, I worked on these cards a couple of weeks ago and think they turned out really cute. First I have Whisper White & Basic Black CS. Also DSP from the Patterns Pack in the Hostess Section. I used the silk Flowers & gemstones that I picked up from Hobby Lobby. I then used my small and medium oval punches and stamped "Mr & Mrs" from the All Holidays stamp set. It will be perfect for that next wedding your going to.

Next I Took the Basic Black & Whisper White CS, along with another DSP color in the Patterns Pack from a couple of Catalogs ago. I then used Gemstones and silk flowers again and my sentiment this time is "Happy Birthday" I embossed this on the Basic Black using the Versamark & white embossing powder. I picked up that stamp at Hobby Lobby. I liked how bold it is.

Baby

I seen a video of this about 3 months ago and have been playing around with both paper and ribbon to see the different looks you can get from them. Here I am using Pretty in Pink & Whisper White CS. White and Regal Rose Grossgrain ribbon. Flower is an off brand Flower Fusion from Hobby Lobby and last finishing touch is the button I attached to the center of the flower. I was blessed to be able to acquire alot of my Mom's old buttons from over the years. So this card is unique, because I don't think I could find another button like this ever again. I used glue dots to adhere the ribbon in different spots to keep from moving and also used snail adhesive to adhere to the back. If you want the dimensions of the card, just email me and I can forward over to you. I think it was cute and reminds me of a quilted blanket, so fitting for a brand new baby. Enjoy!!

Card Flip Box & 3 x 3's

Here is a little Flip box that I created the other day. I have to admit that I seen it on another blog, but guessed on dimensions. I used Garden Green CS, Brilliant Blue, Very Vanilla with Jumbo stamp around wheel w/brilliant blue ink. Added very vanilla Grossgrain ribbon as the handel. I attached a Scallop circle on the front with dimensionals to keep the flap closed. I also made 5 - 3 x 3 note cards to put in the inside, 2-birthday, 2-thank you & 1-hello. I will have dimensions up soon. I just wanted to get up to inspire anyone to make one of these and give it away to someone. I have learned as someone that crafts now, it brings a smile to someones face to get something like this. SHARE!! I hope you like it!

Birthday

Here is a birthday card that I made last night for my cousin. I used Rose Red, Cameo Coral, Very Vanilla & Raspberry Tart DSP. Accented with Twill tape, Flower Fusion & a clear rhinstone brad. I used the stamp set Upsey Daisey "Birthday Celebrations" with the Medium Oval punch and offset it on top of another rose red punch with a dimensional. I attached my Rose Red Flower Fusion with a clear Rhinestone Brad. Simple easy and ready to mail.

Congrats

Here is a real simple card using alot of the products through Sale-a-Bration with SU. Paper is So Saffron, Bashful Blue, Very Vanilla & DSP - Delicat Dots. I used stamp sets, Congrats & Polka Dot Punches. This technique is the Dazzling Diamonds window. I used the scallop circle punch, added packaging tape behind, sprinkled on Dazzling Diamonds, Stamped image on Vanilla and attached to back of DSP. Very Vanilla Grossgrain ribbon is used on this card. Leave card blank or stamp with the many different occassions that the Congrats set comes with. I think the Dazzling Diamonds gives it a little bit of Pizzazz!! I wanted to use the Scallop Circle punch to show one of my club members different ideas that she can use with hers.
